When we were in Portland, Erin discovered that food that went into her mouth could also come out. This has led to a lot of slimy cheerios being retrieved. She has now expanded this to include all kinds of finger food. One of her favorites seems to be broccoli. She sucks the water out of the head, mashes it around inside her mouth for a bit, pockets it in her cheek for a while and then takes it out and gives it to me. How charming. Last night she refused to have me feed her dinner. She wanted the spoon to feed herself. Although it doesn't look like it, she actually did get a tiny bit in her mouth. As far as feeding goes, she's started refusing food pretty regularly and I'm not sure why. This morning she didn't want her breakfast of oatmeal and pears. She usually loves the stuff. I hope this is just a phase and not the birth of a picky eater.

Messy experiments
