A Very Busy June

Erin's nearly 14 months old now and loving the summertime. We took our bikes (and burley trailer) to a neighborhood park today. Erin got a kick out of the swings but balked at the slide. It's been awhile since we posted on the blog, so check out the pictures of Erin at Aunt Laura's wedding below.

We looked forward to Laura's wedding all year, and we weren't disappointed. It was a beautiful ceremony. Fran was the matron of honor and Erin got to wear a Lee family dress with her cute blue saltwater sandals. She got to stay up way past bedtime, and Grandma Beth and Ken finally took her home around nine.

Mom and Dad don't dress up often... so here's the proof!

Fun on the Lake

Erin got her first ride on a boat last week thanks to Grandpa and the Albatross (affectionately known as 'Al'). Our pontoon ride around Silver Lake was chillier than we anticipated, but Erin didn't mind with a boat filled with elm seeds and some shiny boat keys. We saw a duck and some ducklings and Erin managed to almost throw my shoe overboard only once. I was most surprised she didn't mind the life jacket.

The skipper and Gilligan, you decide who's who!

Grandma Beth came along. She and Erin have really been best friends lately. Erin plays with Beth from oatmeal in the morning to the last book in the evening. With Fran and me on busy hospital months, the help and company at home is incredible.

As if I wasn't proud enough of Erin already, she 'learned' to play the kazoo the other day! She basically holds it up to her mouth and hums her favorite word "Ah", then repeats as she marches around the living room.
