Fran and I have started to realize how quickly time passes! She's already 30 weeks pregnant and our house is changing too- a new baby crib, baby clothes, and a car seat on the porch. The dogs are sometimes curious, so what is that wood kennel for anyway?

We've become regular visitors to friends' pages and get a kick out of watching their little ones grow up. Starting a blog for our daughter sounded like a great way to keep up with all things new and different, and give Fran's family in out west a front row seat. Fran's affinity for diary-keeping rivals her love of the telephone, so dad may be doing most of the posting. We hope you enjoy our thoughts and pictures!

We just returned from a strangely sunny 5-day visit to Portland. We celebrated Joe's birthday with Fran's siblings. We also enjoyed the muffins, pancakes, waffles, and the nice company that goes along with staying at Beth & Ken's. Our daughter may have met her match in Anna in the miss congeniality contest, what a happy baby- great to see the whole Grant gang doing well.

Fran was right back to work when we got back. We've settled back into the day-to-day routine, broken only by beeps from the hyperbaric pager this week. Pretty overwhelming all there is to do before Oprah comes and we say goodbye to our 20s (how did that happen?). Week 31 starts tomorrow for Frances, and we're lucky to have had things go this smoothly so far.
